home | antique and old tools | links | email I made this "pull along" train for my grandson Coen last Saturday, 18th July 2006. That's pretty close to Galactic Galoot (Grandpa) Day. The wheels and boiler are Jarrah, the base and cabin are Silky Oak ( not a true Oak, Grevillea robusta) That was from a tree I climbed on when I was a kid at my folks house. The bumpers, smokestack and axels are in Ash. Apart from the lathe, mostly made with chisels, planes, and hand saws. It's 330 mm long (13 inches) |
